Nestled on the side of a mountain in the Big Indian Wilderness, our historic Lodge dates back to 1898. The 28 luxurious, uniquely designed rooms in five buildings have been artfully revived by Lyon Porter’s signature design of bold patterns and hand-picked Americana antiques. Some suites feature clawfoot bathtubs for two and pot belly stoves. Others include outdoor cedar soaking tubs on their private deck. In The Dining Room, Chef Tara Novell serves locally inspired dishes from her open indoor/outdoor kitchen. And our staff puts together a full list of fun programs that for all times of day and year – hike, dance by the fire, take a sauna, sleep all day, or do it all. But our best and most beautiful amenity is still mother nature, so don’t forget to leave your comfy room and go outside to look at the stars.
